24-25 Okt. 2010

Catatan Perjalananku.

Hari Pertama (23/09/2010)
6.00pm:
Bertolak dari Stadium Sultan Muhammad Ke-IV, Kota Bharu ke Chemerong. Sebanyak 3 buah kereta menuju ke Kampung Jabi, Besut, Terengganu. Semua pemandu diberi taklimat pergerakan laluan perjalanan dari Kota Bharu menuju ke Hutan Lipur Chemerong, Dungun, Terengganu.
7.10pm:
Singgah sembahyang maghrib di masjid Kampung Gerai, Besut, Terengganu.
8.00pm:
Singgah untuk makan malam di kedai makan sebelah Stesen Minyak BP Jabi sambil menunggu
rakan guide (Abdullah Zakaria - Guide Terengganu).
9.00pm:
Bertolak ke Kg. Buluh, Setiu dan berkumpul di Stesen Shell untuk penentuan keseluruhan
bilangan ahli kumpulan dan pengisian petrol. Kesemuanya pendaki seramai 13 orang termasuk Guide (2 orang iaitu Alan dan Paklah)
10.00pm:
Berkumpul di hadapan Masjid Kuala Berang untuk pemeriksaan kenderaan dan penerangan laluan seterusnya.
11.30pm Berkumpul minum malam di gerai Kg Jerangau.
12.30am Sampai di Hutan Lipur Chemerong, Dungun, Terengganu.
Tidur di Gazebo beramai-ramai. Jarak perjalanan dicatat adalah 250km.


Hari Kedua (24/09/2010)
6.30am Semua pendaki sudah bangun dan sudah selesai menunaikan solat subuh di surau.
Kemudian semua pendaki mengambil makan pagi dan menyiapkan diri untuk
pendakian. Selepas mendaftarkan nama dan jadual pergerakan kepada Jabatan
Hutan pendakian dimulakan. Set ketinggian ground adalah 160M dari aras laut.
8.30am Perjalanan dimulakan dengan melalui laluan konkrit dan jambatan gantung.
Kemudiannya mula mendaki (mencanak) yang dikenali sebagai Bukit Taubat.
10.30am Sampai di Puncak Bukit Taubat (660M) dan keseronokan mengambil gambar
Pokok Periuk Kera. Terdapat 2 simpang disini (Kanan dan kiri).
Pergerakan ke Kem Balak dengan mengambil simpang sebelah kiri.
11.00am Sampai di Kem Balak (635M) dan semua pendaki terpesona dengan ratusan anak
ikan daun di dalam sungai. Semua bersetuju untuk rehat dan makan tengahari
disini.
01.00pm Mula bergerak ke Kem Y dengan perjalanan melalui sungai dan pinggir sungai di
sebelah kanan. Kebersihan dan kecantikannya sukar dibayangkan dan amat
mempersonakan.
02.00pm Sampai di Kem Y dan semua peserta menunaikan solat Zohor dan Asar (Jamak).
Ketinggian Kem Y adalah 675M.
02.30pm Pergerakkan dimulakan semula dengan pendakian menuju ke Puncak Berembun
Kecil.
03.43pm Selepas berpenat dan melawan kepayahan mental dan fizikal, akhirnya semua
pendaki sampai di Puncak Berembun Kecil (975M). Sebelum sampai ke puncak
ini terdapat satu puncak dengan ketinggian 915M. Disini terdapat simpang kanan
dan kiri. Pendaki berehat di kawasan lapang ditepi simpang kiri. Sambil berehat
sesekali mengutip buah mata ayam yang berwarna putih untuk merasa
kemanisan airnya.
Selepas ahli semua berkumpul perjalanan diteruskan dengan menuruni cerun dan
mendaki semula melalui laluan Bonzai (1000-1030M). Sepanjang perjalanan
sebanyak 4 spesis periuk kera telah ditemui.
Pendakian kawasan bonzai ke Puncak Berembun tidak terasa kerana terlalu ashik dengan pelbagai tumbuhan, pemandangan dan kedinginan udara nyamannya.

5.14pm Akhirkan sampai ke Puncak Berembun (3,405' / 1108M). Selepas berehat dan bergambar semua pendaki meneruskan semula perjalanan dengan menuruni cerun sehingga ke aras 920M (5.47pm). Laluan ini dibantu dengan tali dan ianya memudahkan pergerakan pendaki semasa menuruni cerun yang curam ini.

6.21pm Selepas berusaha menuruni cerun ini akhirnya sampai ke kawasan yang dipanggil Lesung Batu (810M). Perjalanan melalui denai disini tidak terasa dengan kejernihan anak-anak sungai yang berselerak.

6.40pm Tanpa terasa keletihan semua pendaki berjaya sampai ke Tapak Perkhemahan Air Terjun Lansir (1021M - Merujuk kepada papan tanda). Semua kepayahan dan keletihan terubat bila melihat pemandan dari tapak khemah Lansir. Apa lagi air sungai yang mengalir jernih dan tiupan angin dingin dan nyaman. Semua pendaki memasang "Hammock" dan "Flysheet Cover" masing-masing. Guider memasang "Flysheet" utama sebagai tempat berkumpul dan memasak.
Setelah semuanya selesai kami makan dengan berselera sekali dengan pelbagai lauk. Tidak ketinggalan budu dan ulaman yang menambahkan lagi kesedapannya. Nasi pula dimasak bersama Rempah, "Kismis" dan "Kurma" untuk menambahkan kemanisannya. Selepas selesai makan malam kami berkumpul untuk menceritakan keseronokan masing masing sambil bermain terup game "Belawok". Keheningan malam dan derauan air terjun di sulami dengan gelak ketawa kami semua. Sukar untuk dibayangkan.... Hanya merasainya mampu digambarkan kerana tiada kata-kata dapat memberikan gambaran sebenar perasaan dan keseronokan kami. Apa lagi terasa kagum akan kehebatan dan kebesaran ciptaan Tuhan.

11.00pm Semua pendaki masuk tidur dalam kantung masing-masing ditemani cahaya bulan penuh yang amat cerah tanpa dilindungi awan atau kabus. Lantern yang dipasang seolah-olah tidak bermakna...


Hari Ketiga (25/09/2010)

5.45am Semua pendaki bergegas bagun dari tidur. Walaupun kesejukan air sungai tak dapat dinyatakan tapi semua pendaki menunaikan solat subuh di atas batu Air Terjun Lansir. Sambil menyediakan makan pagi matahari mula terbit jauh dihujung dan yang kelihatan hanya Puncak Gunung Mandi Angin. Bahagian lainnya dilitupi kabus tebal seperti air laut. Matahari mula menjenguh wajahnya seawal jam 6.40am dan pancaran api merahnya mengejutkan beburung yang meriuhkan suasana dengan kicauan paginya. Semua pendaki terpegun dan terhenti dari kesibukan menyediakan makanan. Pemandangan indah ini kami semua nikmati dengan perasaan tenang dan mengambil sebanyak mungkin gambar yang merakam fenomena ini.

Betapa indahnya ciptaan Ilahi. Dihati tersemat janji akan kembali lagi kesini (kalau ada group nak pergi le..)

9.30am:
Kami mula bergerak dari Kem Lansir setelah menikmati nasi goreng untuk menuju ke Puncak Chemerong. Selepas mendaki seketika melalui hutan gunung kami mula menuruni bukit sehingga ke paras 675M iaitu Sungai Banggang. Aliran Sungai Banggang amat unik dan kami melintasinya untuk pendakian ke Puncak Chemerong. Pendakian yang agak memenatkan sehingga ke paras 840M dan kami berehat di satu denai permatang. Melalui denai ini pendakian diteruskan sehingga ketinggian 860M. Dari sini terdapat papan tanda Gunung Chemerong 1200M dan selepas berehat seketika kami bergerak semula jam 12.00 tengahari. Disini terdapat dua persimpangan ke kanan dan kiri. Kami mengikuti simpang kanan ke Gunung Chemerong. Walaubagaimanapun semasa tiba di simpang ke Puncak Chemerong (500M) kami mengambil keputusan untuk terus sahaja ke Seraya Besar.

1.00pm:
Kami sampai di seraya besar dan selepas mengambil gambar dan berehat seketika kami teruskan perjalanan ke Kem Balak.
2.05pm:
Kami sampai ke Kem Balak dan menyediakan makanan tengahari serta menunaikan Solat. Selesai sahaja makan hujan lebat telah turun dan kami berehat seketika lagi bagi menunggu hujan reda. Pada waktu hujan ini tiba beberapa orang pendaki dari UNITEN dan kami sempat bertegur sapa. Bagi memberi ruang rehat kepada pendaki yang baru tiba kami meneruskan perjalanan.
6.10pm
Kami selamat tiba di tanah lapang Hutan Lipur Chemerong (160M)
8.00pm:
Kami bertolak pulang ke Kota Bharu. Misi selesai.

GUNUNG STONG STATE FOREST PARK

INTRODUCTION:
The Gunung Stong State Forest Park (GSSFP) was formerly the Gunung Stong Tengah Forest Reserve, and lies in centrak Kelantan, Malaysia. This GSSFP is categorised as a Environmentally Sensituve Area rank I in the National Physical Plan and listed in the National Ecotourism Plan as one of the top 10 special places for ecotourism.
GSSFP is a forested area, totaling 21,960ha . This area surrounded by the Basor Forest Reserve (40,790ha), the Gunung Stong Utara Forest Reserve (11,044ha), Gunung Stong Selatan Forest Reserve (28,134ha), Balah Forest Reserve (56,010ha) and the Berangkat Forest Reserve (21,409ha). GSSFP and this group of forest reserves account for 157,087ha of forests.
The area is of outstanding natural beauty and is home to one of the highest waterfalls in Malaysia, Jelawang Waterfall.
The rugged landscape of GSSFP offers many exciting adventures for anyone who loves nature and the great outdoors. GSSFP not only has important ecotourism values but also serves as a significant conservation area with rich flora and fauna diversity.

CONSERVATION VALUE:
GSSFP ia an important wildlife habitat which is linked to the Main Range. Wildlife recorded in the area includes the Asian elephant (Elephas maximus), Malayan tiger (Panthera tigris jacksoni), Malayan tapir (Tapirus indicus), seladang (Bos frontalis), great argus pheasant (Argusianus argus), serow (Capricernis sumatraensis) and several species of hornbills.
It is water catchment area for the Kelantan River and plays an important role in flood and drought regulation.
West-central Kelantan where Stong is located, is an area rich in wild plants, many of which can only be found in this part of the world including the limestone-loving Didymocarpus calcareus, Licuala stongensis, Holttumochloa pubescens (found only on Gunung Stong)
Refflesia kerrii, one ot the lergest flowers in the world, is also found in GSSFP.
GSSFP also harbours a diverse range of wold ginger species. Gingers are widely used in local cooking, health beverages and herbal remedies, and as ornamental plants.

MOUNT RABUNG

Gunung Rabung; is situated in Felda Prasu, Kelantan. The trek usually takes 2 or 3 days up and down depend to group hiker. The trek start from Felda Renok Baru. From there ride the local transport to Sungai Kombat. Follow the logging road until you pass some kongsi house near by first river. Once in a while you'll see a big river on your right. After trekking along the logging road and cross 3 river , hiker can rest for lunch at Milo Camp. On the first day, from Milo Camp, it'll take one whole day to reach Taman Camp, But be careful as some parts of the way is usually blocked with ferns and you'll have to hack your way through (use the EXPERIENCES NATURE GUIDE'S) . The last bit is very steep. At Taman camp, there is small place to pitch up tents. Other choice you can sleep under a flysheet or bring a hammock. There is a small river for bathing slightly on the right. Gunung Rabung peak is about 1 hour further up , and is rather small and can only fit perhaps about 2 tents. What people normally do is spend the night at Taman Camp and hike up to the peak the next day. After visiting the peak, hiker trek down to camp Taman for another night or direct to logging road to finish the journey. It is possible to trekking up and down in one day.
